Reality shows are here to stay. And nothing is off-limits if you're willing to put your wedding on television. From wedding planning disasters to hanging onto budgets, everything is fair game for entertainment purposes. Check out some "real" wedding dramas that are on-air right now...

Rich Bride, Poor Bride

Based on the all-important budget, this show revolves around how a couple customizes their wedding to fit a budget. Starting out with an initial meeting with a wedding planner who is given the task of keeping the couple on track, the couple then go through the entire process of planning their wedding. And to keep it real, couples with budgets at both extremes are featured.

Bulging Brides

How far would you go to look perfect on your wedding day? This reality show feeds into a bride’s desire to look her best on her wedding day. A team comprising of a fitness trainer and nutritionist assists the bride in losing some inches so she looks ultra-glam in her wedding attire. The show usually starts out showing the bride approximately two months before her wedding, and a dress that she does not fit into. By the end of the show, through rigorous training and healthy living tips, the bride mostly gets to walk down the aisle looking her prettiest.

How to find a husband

Live vicariously through the experiences of the show’s leading lady, Sally Gray. In her quest to find Mr. Right, she is willing to go all out to find true love. Quitting her job, revamping her social life and trying out every dating trick in the book, Sally’s attempt at a happy ending is spread over ten weeks. Does she find her soulmate at the end of the show? Well, at the end of ten weeks, you can only hope for the best!

I do... Let’s eat

Focussing on weddings and banquets, this show showcases diverse wedding traditions and more specifically, cuisines from all around the world. While food is the focus of the show, cultural and emotional elements of eating food, especially at weddings is looked into.

The show follows a familiar format of seeing a couple select their chef to create an unforgettable meal. It then goes on to showcase every development en route to the wedding day.

Newlywed, Nearly Dead

Don’t worry, the title of the show is purely metaphoric. It doesn’t imply any health problems or murderous tendencies on the part of bride or groom. The show looks at the lives of a newlywed couple, after the wedding celebration to see where they are at. Living together after marriage can bring out the worst in your partner – something you may not necessarily be aware of and this show zones in on those grey areas.

Marriage expert Gary Direnfeld steps in to help newly married couples find a middle ground when it comes to sorting out spats and squabbles.

Say Yes and Marry Me

Marriage proposals are fodder for great stories. So this reality show brings the wedding proposal to your television screen. Shot through hidden cameras, in collusion with the groom, the show features some creative and romantic wedding proposals.
